This particular lot location (like many in NWA) is prone to small underground caverns.  Not our first rodeo – we enlisted a local Geo-Technical Engineering Firm for soil radar and testing.  Part of the fix for this type of “swiss-cheese-soil” was to over-dig the basement foundation and use “shot-crete-gunite” and create a stable shell around the eventual structure.  Engineers love this kind of stuff!  Amazingly we somehow stayed close to on budget and increased the soil area drainage and even also used real water-proof-concrete. 

Our first 3-story deck and using engineered lumber for less beams and less posts!  The house has 68 windows and glass doors in total, and of which 36 are full lake view facing.  A great room size that you would expect, except it is fully open for two stories soaring to 21 feet in height, anchored with a massive 21-foot-tall stone fireplace surrounded by windows. 

Two executive sized custom homes, located in the same subdivision outside of downtown. These two houses are as different as the owners, one contemporary and one traditional.

Under construction in 2023: Perhaps our best challenge yet… a 25-year-old home burns completely to the ground in 2021 leaving
only a concrete foundation. The owner hires an architect from Santa Barbara California to reimagine the house…
